Guy’s Restaurant Reboot Transcript

Guy Fieri: Alright next up let’s meet Amanda and Julia from PorchBox. Ladies, hello there. How are you?

Amanda & Julia: Good, how are you?

Guy Fieri: Well first, how did you two meet?

J: We met over making crab cakes freshman year in college. We were both involved in a culinary program at Cornell where we went to school. I was swamped at 2am making crab cakes, and Amanda jumped in and helped me make around 500 crab cakes.

Guy Fieri: So tell me about PorchBox?

A: PorchBox is fresh, American comfort food. It’s really boxes of main dish and three sides—so very balanced meals. We also have a lot of dietary options and really just easy take-out!

J: We’re located in Laguna Hills in CA.

Guy Fieri: You’re so young! I LOVE this!! *chuckles*
I have to tell you… you are an inspiration. I think that there are so many people that are watching this right now--- we need young entrepreneurs like you that are fired up and are making this happen.

We’re doing a program here called Guy’s Restaurant Reboot, and along with a bunch of other amazing sponsors that we have, you are getting a grant from our friends at AT&T business and Guy’s restaurant reboot for $25,000!

How does that feel?!

A: That’s incredible. I mean it;s definitely going to help us so much for the restaurant. We also really want to make sure that we have good values in our restaurant, and we are pairing with a local nonprofit so being able to continue that mission is just incredible.

J: We’ll use it to give right back to our employees and our community that we are in

Guy Fieri: So, congratulations Amanda and Julia. So $25,000 coming your way. We’ll be looking forward to more of these locations.

J: We definitely want to expand.
